Resumo: A 14-year-old female patient was admitted to the hospital for resection of an odontogenic tumor affecting the left maxilla. Histopathological analysis confirmed the diagnosis of odontogenic myxoma. Despite being a benign tumor, its locally invasive and recurrent nature required extensive curettage, cryotherapy, and application of Carnoy's solution (composed of absolute ethanol, chloroform, glacial acetic acid, and ferric chloride) to reduce the risk of recurrence. The lesion extended into the left maxillary sinus and nasal cavity, necessitating the removal of teeth 24, 25, 26, 27, and the tooth bud of 28. After healing, the patient was rehabilitated with a removable prosthesis to restore esthetics and masticatory function. Over 11 years of clinical and radiographic follow-up, the patient remained free of recurrence, with annual tomography and prosthetic adjustments as part of long-term care.
