Título: Oral squamous cell carcinoma arising in association with central ossifying fibroma in a young patient: A rare case repor

Resumo: A 33-year-old melanoderm female presented with a chief complaint of an "ulcer on the cheek" that had been evolving for four months, accompanied by pain and restricted mouth opening. She denied tobacco and alcohol use. The clinical examination revealed submandibular lymphadenopathy. An ulcerated lesion was observed on the left buccal mucosa, measuring approximately 4 cm, with indurated borders and a necrotic base. A panoramic radiograph revealed a well-defined image with mixed density, and cone-beam computed tomography showed a heterogeneous 5 cm lesion in the mandible body, expanding the cortical bone. An incisional biopsy of both the ulcerated lesion and the bone lesion was performed. Histopathological analysis confirmed moderately differentiated oral squamous cell carcinoma, while bone analysis identified a central ossifying fibroma. The patient was referred for specialized care. This case underscores the rising incidence of malignant tumors in patients under 40 and highlights the rare coexistence of a bone tumor.
