Resumo: A 50-year-old melanoderm female patient with hypertension and dipyrone allergy presented with malaise, painful mucocutaneous lesions, odynophagia, and fever after using allopurinol. Clinical examination revealed widespread loss of the skin barrier on the body and face, exposed dermis, ulcerated lips with hemorrhagic crusts, oral mucosa enanthem, and depapillated tongue. Stevens-Johnson Syndrome (SJS) induced by allopurinol was diagnosed. Treatment included topical dexamethasone elixir three times daily, nystatin suspension five times daily, and daily photobiomodulation therapy. Red laser (3J per point) was applied to labial, perioral, and intraoral areas for 30 days. The patient showed significant clinical improvement, with reduced symptoms and reepithelialization of the skin and mucosa. This therapeutic approach may represent a supportive option for managing patients affected by allopurinol-induced SJS.
