Resumo: Salivary glands, essential structures for oral health maintenance, can be affected by various pathologies, including ranula. A 14-year-old female patient sought dental care due to a swelling in the floor of her mouth persisting for approximately three months. She reported no systemic health issues. Clinical examination revealed bilateral, painless, globose, translucent and sessile lesion, with a soft consistency, appearing fifteen days apart. Aspiration puncture revealed a thick mucinous content characteristic of salivary fluid, leading to a diagnosis of bilateral ranula. The treatment involved marsupialisation, and the patient has been under follow-up for nearly three years without recurrence. This case report highlights the importance of documenting and monitoring clinical cases, particularly rare lesions. Such reports contribute to scientific knowledge, facilitating their recognition in clinical practice and encouraging discussions on optimal treatment approaches, ultimately improving treatment success rates.
