Resumo: Unlike granular cell tumor (GCT), non-neural GCT (NN-GCT), is a distinctive neoplasm, characterized by uniform S100 negativity. To date, about 9 intraoral cases of NN-GCT have been reported. In the jaws, only 1 case of primary intraosseous maxillary GCT was published. A 31-year-old woman presented an osteolytic lesion on the right mandibular ramus 2 years ago. After incisional biopsy, microscopy revealed a diffuse proliferation of epithelioid and spindle cells, containing intracytoplasmic granules, focally exhibiting nuclear and cellular pleomorphism. By immunohistochemistry, the granular cells were positive for vimentin, NKI/C3, FXIIIA, CD10, and CD56 (focal). The p53 showed a wild-type pattern, and Ki-67 was 3%. All other markers (pan-CK, CK8/18, EMA, CD138, α-SMA, desmin, HMB-45, Melan-A, calponin, h-caldesmon, ERG, D2-40, ALK, cyclin D1, Glut-1, CD1a, CD11c, CD31, CD34, CD68, CD117, CD163, and CD207), and notably S100, were negative. To our knowledge, this is the first case of intraosseous NN-GCT affecting the jaws.
