Resumo: Darier disease (DD) is a rare disorder of keratinization that primarily affects the skin, withoccasional involvement of the oral mucosa. A 54-year-old male was referred for evaluation due towhite lesions in his mouth, which his dentist noticed. The patient reported hypertension and skinallergies, presenting multiple small, firm, reddish-brown papules on the chest and back. Intraoralexamination revealed multiple non-removable, asymptomatic, white, flat-topped papules affectingthe palate and gingiva. An incisional biopsy of the palate was performed, and histopathologicalanalysis revealed acantholytic dyskeratosis. The clinical and microscopic findings togethersupported the diagnosis of DD. Upon further examination, nail dystrophy was also observed. Thepatient was referred to a dermatologist for evaluation and management of the skin lesions. Whileoral lesions associated with DD typically do not require specific treatment, dentists play a crucialrole in diagnosis, as oral lesions can serve as a key indicator of the condition.
