Resumo: Angiosarcoma is a rare malignant tumor, accounting for under 2% of all soft tissue sarcomas and fewer than 1% of malignancies in the head and neck area. It is an extremely aggressive neoplasm characterized by early metastasis and poor prognosis. We present a clinical case of an 80-year-old female patient, without comorbidities, showing a painless, reddish nodular lesion approximately 1 cm in size, with a pedunculated base located on the left lateral aspect of the tongue, progressing over one month. With a differential diagnosis of pyogenic granuloma, an incisional biopsy was carried out, revealing tongue angiosarcoma. One month later, there was rapid growth and significant progress at other sites. She was referred to the oncologist; however, due to the advanced state, she received palliative care and deceased two months after the initial consultation. This case highlights the aggressive nature of tongue angiosarcoma and the challenges in managing such advanced malignancies.
