Título: EBV positive T/NK lymphoma of the oral cavity: From diagnosis to remission.

Resumo: The patient, an 80 year old female, was referred regarding multiple ulcerated lesions on 3 of the 4 quadrants, that was being treated for an aggressive gingivitis. On clinical examination it was noticed advanced dental mobility on teeth 15,16,17 and 25 with ulcerated gingiva with exposed bone. Excisional biopsy comprised dental extractions of the mentioned elements, along with the surrounding compromised structures of bone and gingiva in all the affected sites. Histopathological examination suggested to be an extranodal lymphoma. Immunohistochemical investigation revealed CKPan -, CD45+, CD30+, CD20+, EBV+, Bcl2+, CD56+, CD7-, CD8+, CD3-, CD4 inconclusive, Ki67 + in 90% of the cells, CD5-, CD15-, CD43-, CD10-, Bcl6-, TIA1+-, Granzime B+-, CD138- and PAX5-, concluding to be an EBV positive T/NK lymphoma. The patient underwent chemotherapy and 10 sections of photobiomodulation laser therapy during 2 months of treatment and is being under follow-up the past four years without recurrence.
