Resumo: A 38-year-old female patient presented with a four-year history of a nodule on the lower labial mucosa, occasionally painful and fluctuating in size, attributed to repeated biting trauma. Intraoral examination revealed a sessile, purplish submucosal nodule, with 1.5 cm and soft consistency. Diascopy tested positive for vascular malformation, confirming the clinical suspicion. Sclerotherapy with 3% polidocanol foam was subsequently performed. The technique involved two 10-mL syringes, each containing polidocanol and air, connected by a three-way stopcock valve to create the foam. The foam-filled syringe was then coupled to a scalp vein set and inserted into the lesion for injection. Postoperative evaluation revealed mild edema during the first three days, followed by complete healing and lesion remission within 14 days. Treatments for vascular malformations include sclerotherapy, high-power laser therapy, and embolization. This case highlights polidocanol foam as an effective, minimally invasive, and accessible option for treating oral vascular malformations.
