Resumo: Oral ulcerations can be associated with various causes, including trauma, infections, immunological alterations, food and contact allergies, nutritional deficiency, autoimmune diseases, self-inflicted, and neoplasms. Of them, drug-related oral ulcers are relevant. A 41-year-old male patient presented with complaints of "painful aphthae" impairing speech and eating, with a time of evolution of 2 years. On intraoral examination, multiple ulcers were visualized, and located on the tongue, palate, and gingiva. Moreover, genital ulcers were also detected, while that cutaneous lesions were not evident. The patients medical history revealed sertraline use. Laboratory tests, including complete blood count, VDRL, FTA-ABS, HIV, glucose, folic acid, ferritin, iron, vitamin B12, as well as digestive endoscopy, were all within normal limits. After incisional biopsy, microscopy revealed a nonspecific ulceration; however, there was persistence of the lesion. After changing sertraline, the ulcer showed signs of resolution. After 1-year of follow-up, the patient is well, without alterations.
