Resumo: Vascular malformations (VMs) are abnormalities in the development of blood vessels which has extravasation of blood into adjacent tissues, of unknown etiology. VMs can be aesthetically disfiguring, indicating the need for treatment, whether by sclerotherapy, laser therapy or a combination of these therapies. This case series includes 3 patients aged 34, 55 and 70 years with vascular malformation lesions in the oral region without significant systemic changes. All had bluish lesions with a smooth, well-defined surface. Diascopy showed ischemia, establishing the diagnosis of VM. Diode laser parameters: 1.0 W output power, continuous mode (66.7 Hz pulse rate), 980 nm wavelength in the infrared emission range, the laser beam was delivered through a 400 μm optical fiber initiated, 10/20/10 seconds. There were no complications, with complete resolution of symptoms and clinical changes. Surgical diode laser has good clinical results, as it reduces procedure time, provides local hemostatic control and effective healing.
