Resumo: Clear cell carcinoma is a entity composed of clear and eosinophilic cells on the pleomorphic stroma and your manifestation from oropharynx do not have clear etiology We report a case of a clear cell squamous carcinoma of the oropharynx. Female patient reported that less than one year ago her stated complain an odynophagia, dysphagia with weight loss, furthermore smoking. Clinically, showed a pedunculated, node with an ulcerated, non-bleeding surface, located on the posterior wall of the oropharynx. After incisional biopsy, microscopic findings revealed a fragment with squamous cells proliferation in an island pattern, showed to nuclear hyperchromatic, hypertrophic, evident nucleoli, eosinophilic cytoplasm and large amount of clear cells with broad cytoplasm. Under special staining they were negative for PAS, Mucicarmin and Alcian blue. The patient was referred to the oncology survice and remains under follow-up.
