Resumo: Syphilis can present with several oral manifestations, requiring attention from dental professionals for early diagnosis. This report describes two clinical cases diagnosed in a dental service. In the first case, a 39-year-old male patient presented with ulcerated lesions on the lateral border of the tongue and lower labial mucosa. In the second case, a 23-year-old patient reported burning sensations in the tongue and throat, with extensive ulcerations in the oropharynx and tongue. In both cases, the diagnosis was confirmed through serological tests (VDRL and FTA-ABS), and they were referred for follow-up with an infectologist. The patients underwent treatment with benzathine penicillin (6 doses, administered twice a week), resulting in complete remission of the lesions. These cases underscore the need for thorough clinical exams and differential diagnosis of oral ulcers. They highlight the dentists crucial role in detecting systemic infections like syphilis, supporting interdisciplinary care and transmission control.
