A 14-year-old female patient presented to the school clinic with swelling of the upper lip, specifically in the tubercle region. The condition had been evolving over a three-month period, marked by intermittent episodes of enlargement and regression, accompanied by mild discomfort. On clinical examination, the lesion appeared as a nodular formation with a smooth surface, sessile base, firm consistency, non-tender on palpation, and purplish in color. Based on the clinical features, the differential diagnoses considered were hemangioma, traumatic fibroma, and hematoma. A diascopy test was performed, which was positive for hemangioma. The treatment of choice was sclerotherapy with infiltration of a sclerosing agent containing monoethanolamine oleate (Ethamolin®). Four applications of 0.1 mL each were administered at the base of the lesion at seven-day intervals, resulting in a marked reduction in lesion size.
