Resumo: Myoepithelioma is a rare benign salivary gland tumor composed almost exclusively of myoepithelial cells. A 66-year-old male patient presented with a painful palatal lesion that had been evolving over a period of seven years. Intraoral examination revealed a nodular, ulcerated lesion on the posterior hard palate, approximately 2 cm in diameter and soft on palpation. The initial clinical differential diagnoses included pyogenic granuloma and pleomorphic adenoma. An excisional biopsy was performed and histopathological analysis showed a well-circumscribed lesion composed of myoepithelial cells arranged in islands and cords within a collagenous stroma. A definitive diagnosis of myoepithelioma was made. After 12 months of clinical follow-up, the patient showed no evidence of recurrence.
