Nome do Apresentador: Ingrid Rodrigues Sant Angelo BRAECHER

Categoria do Trabalho: Painel de caso clínico (PCC)

Área Temática: Estomatologia

Resumo: Actinic cheilitis (AC) is a potentially malignant disorder of the lower lip, associated with chronic sun exposure. This report aims to present three clinical cases of AC in young adult lifeguards.
Case 1: Male, white, 25 years old, engaged in outdoor sports, presented with fissures, color changes, and blurring of the mucocutaneous junction on the lower lip.
Case 2: Male, white, 28 years old, presented with a white plaque on the lower lip.
Case 3: Male, white, 30 years old, reported unprotected sun exposure and showed a white plaque with fissures on the lower lip.
In all cases, an incisional biopsy was performed, and the histopathological diagnosis confirmed AC. Moderate to severe epithelial dysplasia was observed in one case, and moderate dysplasia in the others.
Outdoor occupational activities are a significant risk factor for AC. The use of lip sunscreen and regular clinical follow-up are recommended as preventive measures against lower lip cancer.
