Resumo: Objective: This study evaluated the frequency of oral thrombi diagnosed at an Oral Pathology center. Study Design: This is a retrospective study (2002-2023), with demographic and clinicopathological data collected from an Oral Pathology service. Descriptive statistics were performed. Results: A total of 7,236 medical records were analyzed, of which 14 (0.18%) corresponded to oral thrombi. Females (57.1%) were more affected, with a ratio of 1.3:1 and a mean age of 46.8 years (±13.9). Most cases occurred on the lip (35.7%), followed by intraosseous location (21.4%), alveolar ridge/gingiva (7.1%), and buccal mucosa (7.1%). The most frequently reported consistency was rubbery (64.2%), followed by firm (28.7%) and fibrous (7.1%). A blackish color predominated (64.2%), while one case (7.1%) was purplish, and four (28.7%) had no color recorded. Morphologically, 71.4% were thrombi in formation. The final diagnosis was confirmed in most cases (85.8%). One case (7.1%) was associated with a vascular malformation and another (7.1%) with an aneurysmal bone cyst. Conclusion: Oral thrombi are uncommon and more frequent in women.
