Resumo: Rhabdomyomatous mesenchymal hamartoma (RMH) is a rare, slow-growing and painless congenital malformation. Often located in the head and neck region, it predominantly affects newborns and children, although cases in adults have also been reported. This report aims to describe a case of RMH located on the upper lip in a baby. A one-year-old female patient was brought for a dental consultation due to an increase in volume on her upper lip. Clinical examination revealed a well-defined nodule that was firm on palpation and had a smooth surface. An excisional biopsy was performed and histopathological exam revealed dense connective tissue containing three distinct mesenchymal components: striated skeletal muscle, mature adipocytes and fibroblasts. The findings were compatible with RMH. After one month, the area showed good healing and no signs of recurrence. This case highlights the importance of early diagnosis and appropriate management of RMH.
