Resumo: Lipomas are benign neoplasms composed of mature adipose tissue, with an etiology that remains unclear. This report presents the case of a 61-year-old male patient who presented to the dental clinic with a painless nodule on the left lateral border of the tongue, measuring approximately 10 mm in diameter, which developed following biweekly injections for anemia. Clinical examination revealed an exophytic nodular lesion with a sessile base, pink coloration, and well-defined borders. The initial clinical diagnosis was neurofibroma. After surgical excision, the histopathological analysis demonstrated numerous large, uniform, mature adipocytes with clear cytoplasm and peripherally located flattened nuclei, arranged in lobules separated by thin fibrous connective tissue septa. A definitive diagnosis of intraoral lipoma was established. The patient remains under clinical follow-up with no evidence of recurrence.
