Resumo: Solid/multicystic ameloblastoma (SMA) is a slow-growing asymptomatic tumor, which presents as a swelling or expansion of the gnathic bones. A 46-year-old female melanoderma patient presented increased volume in left mandible. The clinical examination revealed facial asymmetry and increased volume in left mandibular vestibular fund, with cortical expansion, non-tender. Computed tomography revealed bone resorption of approximately 8 centimeters of extension, with soap bubble appearance. Incisional biopsy and extraction of the affected teeth were performed. The diagnosis was solid/multicystic ameloblastoma. Treatment included partial resection of the mandible and reconstruction with iliac bone graft, performed without intercurrences. The histopathological analysis confirmed neoplasia-free margins. At follow-up, the patient had no complaints, showing normal facial movements and rehabilitated dental occlusion with removable prosthesis. Radiographic examination showed satisfactory bone consolidation, no signs of recurrence.
