Resumo: Osteomas are benign tumors found almost exclusively in the craniofacial bones. They are slow-growing, painless, and are frequently found in the body of the mandible. This case report is about a 43-year-old female patient who sought the dentist due to pain in the region of the unerupted upper right canine. Physical examination revealed the presence of a nodular, sessile, normochromic lesion, with 30 years of evolution and painless until then, located in the right anterior maxillary region. Computed tomography showed a well-defined hyperdense expansive image associated with the vestibular region of the upper central incisors, suggestive of peripheral osteoma. An excisional biopsy of the nodular bone lesion was sent for anatomopathological analysis, which revealed the presence of bone trabeculae and fibrofatty medullary areas, compatible with periosteal cancellous osteoma. The patient is being monitored, with no recurrence of the lesion.
