Resumo: Objective: To identify and analyze non-profit organizations (NPOs) supporting head and neck cancer (HNC) patients, aiming to raise awareness not only among patients but also among healthcare professionals and researchers.Study Design: A scoping review was conducted through the PubMed, Scopus, EMBASE, Web of Science, Google Scholar, ProQuest, and open databases to identify NPOs in English-speaking countries using search terms related to HNC and NPOs. Data collected included NPOs origin, founders, cancer types addressed, mission, services and impact. Results: Twenty-five NPOs were identified, mainly from the US (40%) and UK (40%). Most (64%) were founded by survivors or families. Websites covered risk factors, symptoms, and screening (84%). Common services included educational materials, support groups, and newsletters. Fundraising was universal, while 40% offered research grants. Legal support was less frequent. While impact metrics were limited, they highlighted significant outreach. Conclusions: NPOs play a key role in informing and supporting patients, healthcare professionals, and researchers. Greater awareness among professionals can enhance patient care, while researchers should collaborate with NPOs to strengthen patient-centered research.
