Resumo: A 28-year-old female patient presented with sudden-onset peripheral facial paralysis affecting the left hemiface, leading to impaired labial commissure movement, incomplete eyelid closure, and reduced facial muscle strength. Pharmacological therapy was initiated with corticosteroids and antiviral agents. Electroneuromyography confirmed peripheral facial nerve involvement. As an adjunctive treatment, the patient underwent 16 sessions of high-power defocused laser photobiomodulation (GEMINI EVO, 30J per point, 1.0W, infrared), applied across the affected region. At the end of the treatment cycle, the patient showed complete restoration of motor and sensory functions, with no residual sequelae. Bell's palsy is a peripheral neuropathy of multifactorial etiology and may be associated with persistent motor deficits if not treated promptly. The early introduction of photobiomodulation therapy proved to be a safe and effective strategy, accelerating neural regeneration, relieving pain, and facilitating full functional recovery. This case highlights the therapeutic potential of laser therapy in managing facial nerve paralysis.
