Resumo: An 11-year-old male patient with melanoderma presented with a chief complaint of delayed exfoliation of deciduous teeth. Clinical examination revealed multiple papules and nodules ranging from 2 to 7 mm on the buccal mucosa, tongue, and lips. The patient reported discomfort while speaking and chewing, but no pain. An incisional biopsy of the lower lip confirmed the diagnosis of Hecks disease. The treatment involved the use of a high-power diode laser in two sessions to remove lesions from the lips and buccal mucosa. Cryosurgery was also performed on the upper lip and labial commissures. At follow-up in December, there were no signs of recurrence, and the patient reported improved comfort and function. This case highlights the relevance of thorough oral examination, as the primary complaint was unrelated to the lesions. Early diagnosis and appropriate minimally invasive treatment contributed to the successful outcome and overall well-being of the patient.
