Resumo: A 60-year-old female patient was referred to the oral diagnostic service with lesions in the mouth. The patient reported 8 months of evolution with some blisters on the skin. The intraoral physical examination revealed desquamative gingivitis, erosions, and ulcers on the bilateral upper and lower alveolar ridge, vestibule and palate, and Nikolsky + sign. Given these characteristics, the diagnostic hypothesis was pemphigus/pemphigoid. An incisional biopsy was performed and the material was sent for anatomopathological examination, in which a fragment of oral mucosa with a subepithelial cleft was observed, in addition to mononuclear inflammatory infiltrate in the lamina propria, concluding the diagnosis of mucous membrane pemphigoid. Clobetasol 0.05% was prescribed for the ulcers and the patient was referred to a dermatologist. Currently, the patient has been under clinical follow-up for 14 months, presenting sporadic recurrences.
