Título: Surgical Resection of Psammomatoid Ossifying Fibroma in the Mandibular Body: Case Report

Resumo: Patient E.S.C, a 28-year-old female, was referred to the oral and maxillofacial surgery service due to the expansive growth of the lesion in the mandibular body, previously diagnosed as Psammomatoid Ossifying Fibroma (POF) four years earlier through an incisional biopsy. On clinical examination, the patient presented with enlargement of the left mandibular body. Imaging exams revealed a mixed radiographic pattern, alternating between radiolucent and radiopaque areas. Given the aggressive growth of the lesion, treatment consisted of a partial mandibulectomy followed by reconstruction using a pre-shaped plate from the 2.4 mm system, combined with a free autogenous costochondral graft harvested by the thoracic surgery team. The procedure was carried out as planned, and the patient is undergoing quarterly follow-up visits, showing clinical improvement with no signs of recurrence.
