Resumo: A 48-year-old fair-skinned female patient with a medical history of systemic lupus erythematosus presented with multiple hyperplastic lesions with a verrucous surface on the upper and lower free gingiva, each measuring approximately 3 mm. The lesions had been present for four months and were symptomatic upon palpation. An incisional biopsy was performed in the buccal and palatal papillae between teeth 23 and 24, and the specimen was submitted for histopathological examination. Microscopic analysis revealed hyperplastic epithelium with a low papillary surface, bulbous rete ridges, presence of koilocytosis, and connective tissue with a dense lymphoplasmacytic inflammatory infiltrate. The final diagnosis was suggestive of condyloma acuminatum. A complete blood count was requested to assess potential immunosuppression, and the patient was referred to a rheumatologist for further evaluation of her lupus condition. The patient declined surgical removal of the lesions, and after five months of follow-up, no progression was observed.
