Resumo: Giant cell fibroma (GCF) is a non-neoplastic lesion of the oral mucosa, often clinically mistaken for a papilloma or fibroma due to its papillary surface and fibrous or elastic consistency. Histopathological analysis is essential for a definitive diagnosis. We report the case of a 6-year-old female patient presenting with a gingival lesion that had persisted for six months. Her medical history was unremarkable. Intraoral examination revealed a normochromic, nodular gingival growth with a papillary surface, located on the papilla between the left maxillary lateral incisor and the left maxillary canine. An excisional biopsy was performed under general anesthesia, and the specimen was submitted for histological examination. The diagnosis of giant cell fibroma was confirmed. The postoperative recovery was uneventful, and no signs of recurrence have been observed during follow-up.
