Resumo: A 36-year-old female, a homemaker, no history of prior illnesses or medication use, sought medical attention due to a bleeding lesion on the gingiva between teeth 42 and 43. The lesion had been present for approximately 90 days and had appeared spontaneously. On physical examination, a sessile, pedunculated, erythematous nodule was observed, which bled upon touch, exhibiting clinical characteristics consistent with pyogenic granuloma. An excisional biopsy was performed using a cold blade under minimal sedation (Clonazepam oral solution 2.5 mg/mL - 5 drops). Hemostasis was obtained with two simple sutures and Metamizole 1g every 12 hours for 2 days was prescribed. The specimen was preserved in 10% buffered formalin and sent for histopathological examination. The diagnostic impression indicated an ulcerated squamous cell papilloma associated with pyogenic granuloma. The patient reported a favorable postoperative course, and no recurrence of the lesion was observed 90 days after excision.
