Resumo: INTRODUCTION: Syphilis is a sexually transmitted infection caused by Treponema pallidum. It has significant morbidity and mortality, especially when transmitted vertically, leading to congenital syphilis. In addition to significant fetal loss, oral manifestations such as rhagades, maculopapular, desquamative, ulcerative, or vesiculobullous skin rashes can occur, as well as, up to two years of age, Hutchinsons incisors, mulberry molars, arched palate, gummas, and atrophic glossitis. OBJECTIVE: To analyze the frequency of congenital syphilis in Rondônia in 2024. METHODOLOGY: Secondary data were obtained from compulsory notification forms registered in Rondônia. The data were collected from the Notification Disease Information System (SINAN). RESULTS: In 2024, 20 cases of congenital syphilis were reported, with 95% of the cases diagnosed within the first 6 days of life. A higher frequency was observed among males (60%). Regarding the mothers age, 50% of the cases were observed between 20 and 24 years old. Regarding prenatal care, 80% of the mothers were attending prenatal care. CONCLUSION: The elimination of congenital syphilis is a goal set by the Ministry of Health for the year 2025, requiring the implementation of promotion and prevention strategies to control this disease.
