Resumo: An interaction between epithelium and lymphoid tissue can lead to lymphoepithelial lesions in the oral cavity, such as lymphoepithelial cysts. A 61-year-old leucoderma female patient with presented to the Oral Medicine Service complaining of a "small white ball" on her tongue. During intraoral clinical examination, a nodular lesion approximately 0.3 cm in diameter was noted, hardened and painless on palpation, with a duration of approximately 1 year. Following a detailed anamnesis and intra- and extraoral clinical examination, the absence of cervical lymphadenopathy and asymmetries was confirmed. The diagnostic hypothesis was oral lymphoepithelial cyst, and an excisional biopsy was performed under aseptic conditions, local anesthesia, and incision with a number 15 straight blade manual scalpel. The collected material was sent for histopathological analysis, confirming the diagnosis of a lymphoepithelial cyst. The patient has been under clinical follow-up for 6 months with no signs of lesion recurrence.
