Resumo: The Standard Operating Protocol (SOP) in Photobiomodulation for Dentistry in Campinas is a evidence-based technical document aimed at guiding dentists, particularly those in the municipal healthcare system, in the use of low-level laser therapy (LLLT) for various oral pathologies. Motivated by the underutilization of laser equipment donated to the municipality in 2018 and the perceived lack of confidence among practitioners, this SOP seeks to standardize, educate, and encourage the use of LLLT while emphasizing the importance of ongoing training. By promoting responsible utilization of this technology, the SOP aims to enhance the quality of dental care provided to the population of Campinas, offering a modern and effective therapeutic approach.
