Resumo: The satisfaction level of primary health care dentists (PHCDs) in the Maule Region, Chile, was evaluated with the Digital Hospitals Oral Pathology Cell asynchronous teleconsultation platform between 2021 and 2023. A survey was prepared and validated with 5 PHCDs, which was administered to all PHCDs in Maule via a Google Form in January 2024. 96.8% were familiar with the platform, using it monthly (40%) or quarterly (40%). 76.7% rated the response speed as very good, and 86.7% found the accuracy and clarity of diagnoses to be very satisfactory. 76.7% rated the programs support as very good, and 86.7% were able to follow specialist instructions. 96.7% indicated the platform was very helpful, though only 66.7% detected an increase in pathology detection. 73.3% noted improvements in patient care times, and 86.7% found no errors in diagnoses, with 89.7% having high confidence in the referral system. In conclusion, the strategy was well received and validated as effective by PHCDs in the Maule Region.
