Resumo: Abstract: A 42-year-old female patient presented with tumor mass and bulging in both lingual and vestibular corticals in the anterior region of the mandible. Computed tomography showed mixed lesion image, cystic aspect, well defined, expansive and discrete hypodense material, without root resorption. Dental elements showed positive sensitivity test. A trephine incisional biopsy was performed for histopathological evaluation emphasizing intense bleeding of difficult resolution even after the use of thermocautery. The anatomopathological highlighted the diagnostic result of giant cell central granuloma and the treatment consisted of calcitonin salmon spray 200 IU, three times a day, and biweekly injections of ethamolin with beginning of dilution of 30% to 50%. After angioedema in the seventh session, the sclerosing agent was suspended. In eight months, the lesion fully regressed. The patient has been using calcitonin with clinical and radiographic Proservation for three years, without recurrence.
