Título: RARE MANIFESTATION OF EPITHELIOID HEMANGIOENDOTHELIOMA IN CHILDHOOD

Resumo: An 11-year-old female child, with complaint of a lesion on her gums. On clinical examination, a nodular, ulcerated, granulomatous, erythematous lesion was detected in the region of the right upper alveolar ridge, with slow growth, of approximately 3 years, with diffuse bleeding during feeding and no other associated symptoms. An incisional biopsy of the lesion was conducted, and its microscopic morphology showed a fragment of mucosa with a lamina propria consisting of dense connective tissue, with proliferation of epithelioid cells, with atypia and cellular pleomorphism in the midst of fibromyxoid stroma. The immunohistochemical panel showed positive expression for ERG, CD31 and CAMTA1, and negative for S100 protein, CD136, TFE3, cytokeratin AE1/AE3 and desmin. Based on the morphological and immunohistochemical findings, the diagnosis was epithelioid hemangioendothelioma. The patient is currently being followed up with the oncology team for exams and definition of the therapeutic plan.
